Worth getting a sustaining pedal for this and the

M-Audio SP-2 Piano Sustain Pedal

works well and is very reasonably priced

Another thing you may need, if you are going the Digital Piano route, is an adapter for your headphones.

Most of the headphones you already have, like the ones you use with your phone, will have a small plug but your Digital Piano will have a socket for the larger size plug.

If you are going to spend a lot of time using headphones then it is advisable to get a good quality set as your ears are precious. Keep the volume down! If the headphones are of good quality this is easier to do.

These are very good at closing out background noise, husband cooking or vacuuming for example, but also have a facility where you can take one side off. That might come in handy for when he says dinner is ready.
