Teaching

I have been teaching music for over 40 years mainly from my own studios but also at schools, colleges and large companies (hi to all my friends at Fords Dagenham, I miss you).

The list of instruments I have been involved in teaching is longer than I wish to publish here but in the last few years I have been specialising in the keyboard family, fretted and unfretted strings, drum kit, saxophone and vocals.

Examining

The examination work for the West London University has been an important part of my life for over 16 years now and I examine for both the RGT and the LCM.

Performing

There were many years of performing which included all manner of events and venues. One of my favourite types of ‘gig’ were weddings where sometimes I played the Organ for the Church Service then Piano for the dinner and finally in the evening some of my musician friends would join me and I would play guitar and sing for the party. There were also recording studios, Concert Halls, Pubs, Clubs, some work for the BBC, sales promotions, street parties and even a Bar Mitzvah! I stopped performing some time ago fully expecting to be tempted out of retirement by a huge fee………..no luck so far.
